| RUMC Podium and Bed Tower Mock Up Testing Complete |
The Bed Tower and Podium Mock up testing has completed which included – wind load structural tests, both static and dynamic water tests, and thermal analysis testing. Bed Tower successful test results were achieved on 2/12/09. Full production of the project is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks at the ASI Limited manufacturing facility in Whitestown, IN. This project includes exterior facade scope of over 366,000 SF of custom unitized systems with composite panels and Kalzip perforated walls. Key suppliers will be Viracon and Sobotec. RUMC is a planned 15-story hospital in Chicago, IL. The planned 290 foot tall structure is projected to cost $690 million. The architect is Perkins+Will and CM is Power/Jacobs-JV.
