ASILIIMITED has been selected to provide the 219,000 square feet of total building façade and enclosure of the new Barclays Center that is being developed in Brooklyn, NY. www.barclayscenter.com. This world class facility will house the current New Jersey Nets in mid 2012. The arena is the anchor development within the 4.9 billion dollar Atlantic Yards Development.
ASILIMITED will be working closely with the design team includes Ellerbe Beckett and SHoP architects. SHoP is the design architect for the exterior façade.
Scope of work will be a custom designed unitized mega-wall system that will include blast resistant curtain wall, insulated weather wall and exterior weather steel lattice screen. Panels will be 10’-0” in width but vary in height from 10’-0” to 55’-0”. Unit weights can exceed 9,000 pounds.
